1. DRINK JAVA
We need your help finding the best cup of Joe in the Pikes Peak region! The gist: Visit our participating coffee shops and try their #RoastoftheTown $4 featured coffees (check the map below). The next step (which is very important) is to take a picture of your coffee and post about it on your favorite social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) with the hashtag #RoastoftheTown. Your comments will decide who has the best cup of coffee in the Pikes Peak region.
You will also be entered to win a $25
gift card to one of this year’s participating coffee shops each
time you visit one and post a photo of its featured coffee. (Posts or
profiles must be set to public for your hashtag to be seen and
counted, as well as to be entered in the daily gift card drawing.)
2. USE THE MAP
Some of our participating coffee shops are dine-in or drive-thru only. Check our #RoastoftheTown map to find out locations, hours and accommodations.
3. UNTIL THE LAST DROP
Sometimes, coffee shops might run out of their featured coffee. First, remember it will all be okay because there is always tomorrow. Second, give another coffee on the shop’s menu a try (we bet you’ll like it). And third and most importantly, don’t be rude or short to the staff… it’s not their fault #RoastoftheTown is the talk of the town. (Ha! See what we did there?)
4. EAT SOMETHING TOO
Coffee goes best with a nice little sweet to swish it down with. Purchasing other items besides the shops’ #RoastoftheTown featured coffee isn’t required, but why do that to yourself? Try a donut, pastry or even a sandwich. Life is about trying new things!
5. DON’T BE STINGY
The staff working during #RoastoftheTown are probably worn out from serving so much coffee. Please keep that in mind and leave them at least a 20 percent tip. It’s cool to be kind. A simple “thank you” can go a long way. (But also remember, “thank you” is not a tip.)
6. A SIDE OF PATIENCE
The word is out, and everyone is super excited about the first ever #RoastoftheTown. Please don’t be surprised if coffee shops have wait times. Remember, it’s good to be patient. If you wait, we promise a delicious cup of happiness will come.
